The Core Principle

Inside the cast body, a powerful coil spring stores energy every time the door opens. A hydraulic piston forces oil through small valves as the spring releases, converting a violent snap-back into a smooth, controlled close.

The Two Adjustment Valves

  • First speed: controls the main closing sweep (from ~90° to ~15°).
  • Second speed (latching): controls the final few degrees, giving the door a firm, quiet latch.

Both are adjusted with a simple key from the cover plate — no need to open the unit.

Hold-Open Function
